About AMA

AMA is an SAP advocacy firm working with asset-intensive organizations across oil and gas, chemicals, utilities, municipalities, and other industries where equipment uptime and materials availability drive the business.

The word advocacy is deliberate, and it is in the company name for a reason. Billable hours are how we get paid. They don’t determine what we recommend, which means we will argue for a smaller scope, a different sequence, or a delay when that is what actually serves the client’s goals.

We also say leading practices instead of best practices, and the distinction matters here. Best practice is a catalog of what already worked somewhere else, assembled by looking backward. Leading practice looks at where the technology and the operating model are heading, and positions the client for that.

Much of our work starts as an assessment of how an organization is actually using the SAP-centric tools it already owns, across the entire ecosystem. The output shows leadership what leading practice looks like and a realistic path to get there. From there, we run standardization programs for data and processes, full S/4HANA implementations, management of change, and the integration of supply chain to enterprise asset management.

Our roots are in enterprise asset management, work management, and the master data both depend on. That is still the center of the practice. What has changed is scope. Clients who first brought us in to fix maintenance and materials now ask us to carry capital projects, the order-to-cash side, the payroll and time that feed a work order, and the full S/4HANA program around it all. These eight openings are how we cover that demand.

Teams here are small and senior. There is no bench of juniors to hand the hard parts to, which is why we hire people who have owned a module through go-live and supported it afterward.

All eight roles below are open as contract or full-time, remote, with occasional travel to client sites for workshops, testing cycles, and go-live support. Travel typically runs 10 to 15 percent depending on project phase.
