Senior SAP Sales and Distribution Consultant
Focus: Order-to-cash, pricing, billing, and customer-facing supply chain
The role
SD work for our clients tends to be order-to-cash for product moving through terminals, plants, and service organizations, plus the billing that has to reconcile to finance every month. You will lead the sales and billing workstream, and often the customer service processes that sit next to it.
What you will do
- Configure sales document processing: order types, item categories, schedule lines, copy control, and document flow.
- Design and configure pricing: condition technique, pricing procedures, rebates, and finance-auditable pricing.
- Configure delivery and shipping, availability check and ATP, transfer of requirements, picking, and goods issue.
- Configure billing: invoice types, billing plans, intercompany and cross-company, credit and debit memos, and the SD-to-FI interface.
- Design credit management, output determination, and EDI or IDoc-based order intake and confirmation.
- Support customer service processes where they touch SD: service orders, warranties, returns, and repair processing.
- Own functional specifications for pricing routines, interfaces, and reports, and drive testing through cutover.
Required experience
- 8 or more years of hands-on SAP SD configuration with at least two full lifecycle implementations.
- Deep pricing and condition technique skill, including custom routines and requirement debugging.
- Order-to-cash process depth from order intake through billing and into accounting.
- Integration fluency with MM, PP, FI/CO, and where relevant PM and CS.
- Comfort in a month-end close conversation when billing did not tie out.
Also valuable
- S/4HANA Sales, including Fiori sales roles and output management.
- Customer Service (CS) module: service orders, warranty, and repair processing.
- Transportation, terminal, or bulk product distribution.
- Variant configuration, contracts and scheduling agreements, or consignment.
- Revenue recognition (RAR), or complex intercompany scenarios.
