Senior SAP EAM/SCM Master Data Consultant

Focus: Enterprise master data governance, data quality, and migration across the SAP ecosystem

The role

Master data is where most of our assessments end up. A work order that will not plan, an MRP run nobody trusts, a spend analysis that cannot roll up: often the same root cause. You will own the master data workstream on assessments and implementations, which means defining the data model and then building the governance that keeps it alive after the project team leaves.

What you will do

Define data standards, taxonomies, and classification models for material, equipment, functional location, business partner, vendor, and customer master.
Build the governance operating model: ownership, stewardship roles, request and approval workflow, data quality rules, and metrics that show whether any of it is working.
Lead data quality assessment and cleansing, including duplicate identification, enrichment, obsolescence review, and short and long text standardization.
Design and execute migration: extract, transform, validate, and load using Migration Cockpit, LTMC, LSMW, or equivalent tooling, with reconciliation you can defend to an auditor.
Configure SAP Master Data Governance (MDG-M, MDG-BP, MDG-F) or a comparable workflow driven governance platform.
Build the ongoing data quality reporting a client will actually run every month.
Train and coach client data stewards, and hand over the operating model.

Required experience

8 or more years in SAP master data roles, including at least two full lifecycle implementations or major migrations.
Deep hands-on knowledge of at least two of: material master, equipment and functional location, business partner and vendor, customer master, finance master data.
Classification and characteristics, taxonomy design, and a realistic view of the limits of both.
Migration tooling and reconciliation experience. You can prove a load landed correctly.
Ability to write a data standard a plant will follow, and then hold the line on it.

SAP MDG configuration, or Syniti, Winshuttle and Precisely, Information Steward, or Collibra.
Master data work inside an S/4HANA conversion, including business partner conversion.
MRO and maintenance master data: BOMs, task lists, measuring points, criticality.
Cataloging standards: UNSPSC, eCl@ss, or ISO 14224.
Data governance in a regulated environment.

Engagement Terms (All Roles)

Engagement type	Contract (1099 or W2) or full-time, depending on the person and the project
Level	Senior. Eight or more years hands-on in the module
Location	Remote, US-based preferred. Must be authorized to work in the US
Travel	Occasional, typically 10 to 25 percent, concentrated around workshops, testing, and go-live
Duration	Project-based, commonly 6 to 18 months, with extension and follow-on work common
