Senior SAP HCM Consultant
Focus: Core HR, Payroll, Time Management, and SuccessFactors integration
The role
You will lead HCM workstreams for clients who are either running SAP payroll and time and need it to work better, or moving pieces to SuccessFactors and need the hybrid landscape designed properly. Payroll depth matters most here. So does the temperament to handle a payroll issue on a Tuesday afternoon when people are counting on the Thursday run.
What you will do
- Configure and support Personnel Administration and Organizational Management, including infotypes, actions, features, and the org structure model.
- Own US and Canada payroll configuration: wage types, schemas and rules, tax (BSI TaxFactory), garnishments, third-party remittance, off-cycle, retro, and year-end.
- Configure Time Management: work schedules, absence and attendance quotas, time evaluation (positive and negative), CATS, and integration to payroll and to maintenance and project time capture.
- Configure Benefits, ESS/MSS, and the Fiori and portal-based self-service experience.
- Design and support SuccessFactors Employee Central integration, including point-to-point replication of employee, org, cost center, and payroll data.
- Run parallel payroll testing, reconcile variances to the legacy system, and document the results for audit.
- Support authorizations, GDPR and PII handling, and payroll controls.
Required experience
- 8 or more years of hands-on SAP HCM configuration with at least two full lifecycle implementations and live payroll support.
- Strong PA and OM configuration plus schema and PCR-level payroll skills.
- Time Management configuration including time evaluation.
- Payroll integration to FI/CO and to third-party providers.
- Experience running parallel payroll and explaining a variance to a controller.
Also valuable
- SuccessFactors Employee Central, Employee Central Payroll, or Time Tracking.
- SAP HCM for S/4HANA (on-premise) or a completed HCM to EC transition.
- Union and collective bargaining agreement configuration, shift differentials, or complex premium pay.
- Multi-country payroll beyond North America.
- Talent modules: Recruiting, Learning, Performance and Goals.
