Senior SAP EAM Consultant
Focus: Plant Maintenance and Asset Management in SAP ECC and S/4HANA
The role
You will own the EAM footprint on client engagements: configuration, design decisions, and the conversations with maintenance planners and reliability engineers that determine whether any of it gets used. Most of our EAM work sits inside larger transformation programs, so you should be comfortable defending a design to a steering committee in the morning and walking a planner through a task list in the afternoon.
What you will do
- Lead design and configuration across PM: functional location hierarchy, equipment master, task lists, maintenance plans and strategies, notifications, work orders, permits, and settlement.
- Build the maintenance master data model and the governance rules that keep it clean after go-live.
- Run requirements and design workshops with maintenance, reliability, operations, and finance stakeholders.
- Configure and support turnaround and shutdown planning, including cutover of legacy work backlogs.
- Support mobile enablement (SAP Asset Manager or equivalent) and Fiori app deployment for planners, schedulers, and technicians.
- Write functional specifications for interfaces, conversions, reports, and enhancements, and partner with developers through unit and integration testing.
- Build and execute test scripts, train end users, and support hypercare.
Required experience
- 8 or more years of hands-on SAP PM/EAM configuration, including at least two full lifecycle implementations.
- Deep command of the maintenance master data model: functional locations, equipment, BOMs, measuring points, classification, and characteristics.
- Practical experience with work management: notification and order lifecycle, planning and scheduling, capacity, confirmations, and settlement to cost objects.
- Integration fluency with MM, PS, FI/CO, and QM.
- Ability to work directly with plant personnel and translate what they say into configuration.
Also valuable
- S/4HANA greenfield or conversion experience.
- Asset Strategy and Performance Management, Asset Central Foundation, or SAP Intelligent Asset Management.
- MRS or Click for scheduling, Prometheus, or similar planning and scheduling add-ons.
- Reliability background: criticality assessment, RCM, FMEA, PM optimization.
- Oil and gas, chemicals, utilities, municipalities, or heavy manufacturing.
